History

In 2009  the Salmon Society invited volunteers from the Powell River Garden Club to create a garden to welcome visitors to the Centre. Inspired by the work of the Society and its commitment to native salmon and eco-education, the gardeners decided to complement those efforts by creating a native plant garden. Today the rockeries showcase many different species of native plants with identifying markers and educational signage.
